Background
Anne founded Dance World with her husband Glyn in 1995, although they had been teaching since 1966 in various halls they wanted to set down some roots. And Dance World was formed.
Anne is an international adjudicator and lecturer, a fellow and examiner in the U.K.A. qualified in ballroom, latin American, Old Time (Sequence), freestyle, western and Argentine.
At Dance World it is possible to learn to dance from your very first steps through to social or competition level.
Anne and Glyn have trained 59 British Championships of all ages from juvenile, junior amateurs and professionals. Although Glyn sadly passed away in 2003, Anne has continued with their ambition, in training competitors to a very high standard in sequence, ballroom and latin.
However the mainstay of the dance centre is the social side where you can meet new friends and enjoy this pleasureable pastime that you can learn together.
Regular medal test are run with the UKA for those who wish to take part and candidates can also be trained to pass their qualifications in professional examines.
Children are invited to take part in classes from the age of 4, so why not let your little ones take part in a hobby which will give them a life skill. Dancing not only lets them learn the steps, but teaches them so much more deportment discipline, and mixing with other other children and gives them a focus in life.
You don’t need to book for new classes, just turn up on the set date and if you miss a few classes why not book a private lesson to catch up.
With private lessons you have a one-to-one with a professionally quality teacher so progress is quicker and you can learn whichever dances you want, when you want. Click here for details.
